The St Mawes Top is a highly versatile, quick-to-sew, easy-to-wear all year round essential. The pattern is packed with different options: sleeveless, balloon sleeves or straight sleeves, cropped or long, as well as the scalloped or standard straight hem. Mix and match these options to make the most of this fun pattern. The sleeveless version is cleanly finished with neck and hem facings. The St Mawes Top is best woven fabrics.
Examples are cotton, cotton lawn, chambray, cupro, linen, linen blends, linen/viscose blend, lightweight corduroy, rayon, viscose, tencel and viscose twill.

– Sewing thread
– Sewing machine needle suitable for woven fabrics
– Hand sewing needle
– 1m (1yd) 1cm (½”) elastic (for the balloon sleeve only)
– Fabric marker/tailor’s chalk/soap for marking
– 3.5cm (1⅜”) bias binding. Cut strips of fabric at a 45% angle to the grainline (for the sleeve versions only)
