The Polperro Blouse is best suited to lightweight woven fabrics with good drape. Lots of drape will ensure the dropped shoulder and frills are not too stiff and fall elegantly.

Examples are cotton, linen, rayon/viscose and silk.

The armhole binding can become bulky if the main fabric is too thick, so consider a lightweight fabric, such as cotton lawn or voile for the binding. A contrast fabric can be used for the armhole binding, which makes a playful feature on the blouse.
